Go to server manager and choose Review configuration.
There it will tell you what your proxy-configuration is.

Hi arflinux,

You need to do port forwarding of the ports need for ICQ to work properly, You can find the ports you need to forward on the ICQ web site.

But if you don't don't want to go though the hassles of port forwarding, there is a better chat program out that will work just work though most firewalls with no configuring needed
http://www.skype.com/

You can do text, voice, and file transfer etc with Skype and it is all encrypted over the net

Hi there,

I noticed you mentioned SkyPE.

I've been trying to use it for voice calls, but often end up with a problem when calling land lines.

I can hear the other person fine, but they say I sound choppy and they can only hear every second word.

I've disabled automatic gain control in my config.xml file, which helped with volume.

Since you sound like a user of SkyPE, I'm wondering if you ran into this problem and if there is any special setup required to use SkyPE with esmith/sme?

Thank You,
Matt
