SME 5.6 signal-event post-upgrade problems
« on: September 28, 2003, 03:08:54 PM »
Hi Every time I run the command
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event post-upgrade
after upgrading or installing something, I get a couple of old problems back.
1) Pseudomyns I have previously removed re-appear
2) Clam AV stops working and I have to run /etc/init.d/clamd start

I know it will be something simple, but then, it's only simple if you know what you're doing :~)

Help on this would be greatly apreciated.

Cheers

Dave

.. sounds like you have made some manual mods that the template system is messing with when the post-upgrade process executes ..

There was a problem with pseudonyms dissappearing in v5.6, perhaps the update has fixed this bug and now they have reappeared !!??

Re clam AV not starting;
Try
ln -s /etc/rc.d/init.d/clamd /etc/rc.d/rc7.d/S80clamd

There was a previous post here somewhere about this.

Thanks Ray,

I have the latest updates to 5.6 so we'll see if things settle down now.

As for clam, I have linked the files as you advised.

We'll see now how it goes :~)

Thanks for the help.

Cheers
