Topic: IMP run on HTTPS - IE hangs and stops loading

Dear all,

I am using SME 5.6 Update 4. If I turn on the HTTPS option in the e-mail setting and try to load the main page, the IE hangs and stops loading. What should I setup so that I can use HTTPS?

what version of windows and ie are you useing
what  proxys have you setup in ie if you have take it out and try it again

ps: i got sick of windows i use sme for my server and mandrake 9.1
as my work station

I know this sounds too simple but have you tried downloading the latest Mozilla to see if it behaves the same way? Quite often I find that when IE has problems Mozilla works fine. If both fail then I would look at your network settings. Mozilla is available at http://www.mozilla.org
Besides, its a better browser than IE anyway.
