Topic: MIRC dcc send still now supported up to now?

hi guys!
   im just wondering.... the problem for the mirc dcc runs way back before. isnt there any solutions for it up to now?

sorry but ive tried every suggestions i can find in this forum/msg board but none works for me. im currently running sme 5.6u5.

I did not have problems with IRC DCC send or receive with SME 5.1 or 5.5. I have not tried it with 5.6 yet but I will tonight. I have seen mention of it in the masq configuration templates so I think they intend for it to work in 5.6 also.

What I can't do is DCC from one computer on my LAN to another on my LAN. But it makes sense that it wouldn't work properly that way. There are much faster ways to transfer files between machines on the same LAN anyway.

of course dude i wont use it when transferring file/s from one pc to another in my lan. i would of course use it to send files/pics/mp3s to my chat friends

I'm curious. Try the following and please let me know if it helps.

modprobe ip_conntrack_irc
modprobe ip_nat_irc

If DCC doesn't use the standard irc port, these modules can be configured to listen on others.

to add to mike's tip, the setting in the mirc (in the Local Info tab) will be:
On connect, always get: Local Host
Lookup method: Normal
