PPTP Problems after upgrade to 6b3
« on: October 09, 2003, 12:56:31 AM »
Recently i did an upgrade of my server to 6b3. Now i can connect through a VPN with PPTP. It comes up with this error:

The remote system is required to authenticate itself but i couldn't find any suitable secret (password) for it to use to do so.

Any suggestions,
Thanks

Nick

I am also having the same problem.....

My friends were able to follow the WinXP wizard to connect to my server easily before I Upgraded to 6.0b3, now they are getting Error 619 and then error 800.

Has the PPTP system been changed in any way so that the clients need to change something on theoir machines?

Cheers,

Nick

I have found problems using PPTP when I have upgraded SME's from 5.6u4 to 6.0b3.

I have NOT had problems with PPTP when doing fresh installs of 6.0b3
