Hyla fax error: Converted document is not valid TIFF
« on: November 18, 2003, 09:40:47 AM »
Setup: SME 6.03b with latest updates, WINXP client.

I am getting the following err in WHFC when I try to fax from Quickbooks 2003. I can fax any WORD, EXCEL, PPT, and even from Internet Explorer 6.0.

But when I try to pront from QB2003 (ie an estimate or invoice) I get the following error:

The fax failed because...
"Converted document is not valid TIFF" or "error in converting document".

I have used the rpm from contribs.org and have followed the instructions to the tee!

Anyone have any suggestions where to start?

Here are the logs:

I thought I would reply to myself, since I fianlly figured this out! Hope no one minds.
I updated the Ghostscript and GSfonts to 7.0 & 6.5 resepectively. Then I checked the QuickBooks Estimate and Invoice Templates to verify that all fonts were set to something normal, which was Arial in my case.

This fixed the problem right away! Now I have a fully functional small business server thanx to the good guys and gals from e-smith & and all the other contributors!!! Thanx to everyone again for this product, and please don't stop with VERSION 6.03b, please let's keep this going! If Mitel ever wants to drop the "Unsupported Developer Version", than I beg someone else to pick up the ball and keep it moving!
