According to the subject line, this *is* the thread about "RE: Unable ...".

In any case, we would very much like to restrict discussion of editing templates and any other modifications to the "Advanced Forum". Please post your question there.

Which is where I copied the subject 'RE: Unable to connect to irc from windows machines' from.

Sure, I understood. But please repost to the "Advanced Forum", that's where discussion of system modifications belongs (now - that forum didn't exist when your thread was started). It's also where the advanced users (who might be able to help you) are more likely to hang out.

You should also read the documentation on the template system which you can find on the http://www.e-smith.org/ site.
