Topic: Upgrade 5.5 > 6.0

I'm new to E-Smith but have a fair bit of general Linux experience. I have to do some work on two E-Smith machines, one firewall/gateway and one private server (mail/intranet mainly). Both machines are 5.5.

So anyway, three questions:

Are any issues/gotchas involved in upgrading directly from E-Smith 5.5 to 6.0?

Is SpamAssassin included in 6.0?

Also, can someone tell me where ipchains is configured in 5.5? There is a firewall running but I cannot find it's source anywhere ... nothing in /etc/sysconfig or /etc/e-smith/templates/etc/sysconfig or anywhere else I can think of. The init script is no help either
How/where are the default firewalls configured in E-Smith 5.5? Just a directory path will do!

the init script is /etc/init.d/masq which is a link to /etc/rc.d/init.d/masq which is a file that is created from the template fragments located in the directory /etc/e-smith/templates/etc/rc.d/init.d/masq/.

Is this what you are looking for?

BTW,

6.0 uses IPTABLES, not IPCHAINS.  Didn't know if you knew this.

I would upgrade to 5.6 then to 6.0.  Upgraded from 5.5 to 6.0 and it was a nightmare.  I would take all the steps If I had to do it again.
