rsync and dyndns

Hi,

I'm trying to set up rsync on two servers with dyndns.org domain names. Everything works just fine as long as I don't use the "hosts allow = myserver.dyndns.org" statement in /etc/rsyncd.conf.

Google tells me that this is a known issue. Apparently the dyndns.org domain names can't be correctly resolved by rsync. However, I can't find a workable solution. So my questions are:

1/ Has anyone found a workaround, or
2/ will upgrading rsync to version 2.5.7 fix this, or
3/ is there an other dynamic dns service that will work?
