Title: RAID Support

I would like to use E-Smith on a server setup with a Mylex Accellaraid 170 RAID card.  I know that LINUX Kernel 2.2.17 supports this card.  My question is what kernel is used on the boot media?  And does it have support for this card compiled in the Kernel?

I had the same troble and i resolved it in this way:
I recompiled the kernel 2.2.17 with the patch for the Acceleraid 170. Then I rewrote the image of the e-smith adding the modules and the new compiled kernel.
The only thing remaining to do is pointing in lilo.conf the correct partition of the raid chain from where to boot.
It works perfectly.
