Title: custom templates problem
Post by: Hasan Muhammad on December 31, 2000, 05:00:29 AM
The release notes for 4.0.1 mentioned new processing code for custom templates... I'm having a possibly related problem.

--Installed a pristine system from a 4.0 cd, added 4.0.12-28, then upgraded to 4.0.1.
--Added some rpms.
--Created /etc/e-smith/templates-custom/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf/ -- initialized with .../templates/.../httpd.conf/
--added a new template .../75AddType04.midgard
--ran /sbin/e-smith/expand-template  /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
--THE PROBLEM
--the new template is ignored, both in the 'progess listing' and nothing from the template is added to .../httpd.conf

Any idea?

I then merged the intended modifications into an existing template--75AddType00.

The mods are still being ignored.

I don't know what I did wrong or right, but a subsequent re-install fixed the problems
