Title: more imp stuff
Post by: zac on January 15, 2001, 01:38:54 PM
hi everyone,

need some assistance with imp webmail. i'm sure this question has been answered already - i just can't find it. i've got a pentium 233 w/ 32 mb ram, e-smith 4.0.1, imp webmail as provided by the rpms, everything working nicely ..... except it's so slooooooooow. i'm pretty sure it's a ram thing, but how much should i throw at it? will an extra 32 megabytes suffice, or should i get me some more?

thanks in advance,

zac

I can't say for sure, but I was running it on a Pentium 150 with 64 megs, and it ran fine.  Of course, the server load was pretty light most of the time (there was only one user, namely me), but I didn't encounter any slowness.

thanks dan - there'll only be a few users on the system anyway, so that should do the trick.
