Title: file permissions

I have been using linux for a few years. I have seen file permissions of r w and x but never s.  what is a file permission of s and why the change.

hey,

i think i can answer your question - i understand the 's' has something to do with setting the user/group id upon execution of the file in question (do a man chmod for more info)
