Title: 4.1 Kickstart problems with FTP install
Post by: Geeze on February 16, 2001, 04:52:11 PM
I am trying to install version 4.1 via an FTP install. I made the boot disk from
bootnet.img, and edited the kx.cfg file with the correct IP information. The Boot disk seems to boot fine.  I get the menu where I choose if I want to  Install or Upgrade. And no matter what I choose, I immediately get an error about Anaconda.real .  If I switch consoles and find error messages that it can't copy install.cfg upgrade.cfg and another .cfg file.  What do I have set wrong?

The bootnet.img boot image implicitly uses HTTP to fetch install.cfg and upgrade.cfg. Either switch to using http network install, or merge the contents of install.cfg or upgrade.cfg into the ks.cfg file. You then won't get the install/upgrade menu, but it should install away happily.
