Title: local networks?

Hi.  I would like to include 1 outside network (ip address) to use my esmith as a mail router.  I have added that IP to the local networks section in the manager.  Is there anything special I need to do to outlook express to make this work?  I am getting errors (from the outside network) saying that I cant relay etc.  
I am using one of my virtual domains as the smtp and pop3 server names.  Do I need to use the primary only?  I thought it could use either.
