Title: selective restore
Post by: Gerald Jansen on February 21, 2001, 10:04:44 PM
Is it possible to restore a specific file from a tape backup? There are instances, especially, with accounting or tax programs, ie. data base intensive, where a file gets corrupted and must be restored. The restore must be done selectively because other files have been updated since the last backup and would be destroyed by a total backup. Additionally, a total restore would shut down the network and all workstations resulting in lost productivity. ITA :-))

Hi Gerald,

Visit my web-site for a HowTO document on flexbackup which covers performing a selective restore.
