Title: 2 Domain Masters?

Is it possible to run 2 e-smith servers as domain masters in seperate workgroups?

Also I remember reading a posting about Windows NT/2000 not being able to log onto a Samba domain server...???
Is this true... I have only tested Windows 98... works great!

It is possible to run two e-smith servers as "domain masters" or more accurately as primary domain controllers. If you read the PDC howto at http://www.samba.org, that should help. I regularly log on from NT Workstation to a Samba PDC (using encrypted passwords) without problems. I have not tried Win2K but the Samba site indicates that Samba will not accept domain logons from Win2K but will offer file shares to it.

I am writing this reply on a W2K pro WS. I have been using it since beta3 and have never had a problem.
