Title: Flexbackup vs Taper
Post by: Brandon Friedman on October 25, 2000, 02:42:27 AM
Hi there

Just wanted to hear if anybody else is comparing backup software on e-smith??

We have tried flexbackup & taper:

I find taper much easier to configure & setup - also it has a gui, which I feel is an added bonus??

Any thought , comments etc

Thanks
Brandon

I am using Taper currently. I installed it before the flexbackup add on was available.
I have looked at the flexbackup option but have decided against it for the following reasons:
1/ The user interface in Taper 'appears' to be more user friendly.
2/ I had already installed Taper.
3/ It wasn't broken and I was/am to lazy to investigate another backup system
YMMV
