hi,
i have a small network with 2 win98 clients and 5 winNT 4.0 SP6 machines.
Win98 and e-smith works great (GREAT) - to let winNT logging into the domain was tricky - but with that
http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=1387.msg4595#msg4595
help it worked.
now i wanted to add some of the \domain\user accounts to the local administrator group of the NT client to be administrator at the local machine - some of my domain users (created on the e-smith-manager) were listed in the WindowsNT user manager, others not - why?
i have to see all users there to give them admin rights on their NT machines!
any tipp?

ok,
looks like i created some user accounts also as machine accounts like shown in
http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=1387.msg4595#msg4595
than i deleted the machine account with "userdel xxxx$" to create a user account with same name (th PC names were the same like some users - i changed this...)
i think here is my problem - how can i delet these samba machine accounts to let samba show me the users...?
PLEASE HELP ME....

I added the line:
Domain Admin Group = @dom-adm-grp
to the template file for /etc/smb.conf
And then crated a group named "dom-adm-grp" in the e-smith manager. Every member in that group has Administrator privileges when he logs in a WinNT client.
