Hello!
I got a problem and I can find a solution.
I've configured a samba server on my e-smith server and evrything worked fine until a few days.
I now have this error message:
bash-2.04# testparm
Load smb config files from /etc/smb.conf
Get_Hostbyname: Unknown host serveur
Failed to get my hostname.
my /etc/hosts file:
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.0.1 serveur
192.168.0.2 artemis
my /etc/HOSTNAME file:
serveur
localhost
the smb.conf file works perfectly on an other computer.
Thanks for the help.

If that is what is there, then you don't have an e-smith server, or you have made custom changes to those files. Try doing:
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event console-save
to regenerate all your configuration files, and see if things start working correctly.
