Ok you all,
I searched through the forums many times. I sse a lot of questions and a lot of questions.
Let me put this simple:
I set up e-smith 4.1.1. Al works fine, except for ditributing e-mail to the right users.
Does: 'X-Fetchmail-Warning: recipient address XXXX@yahoo.com didn't match any local name ' sounf familiar??
This is what i get, so my question is my e-smith domain is called internal.com, i collect mail form external.com. How come when e-smith collects mail from external.com it does not drops it at the right e-mailbox at internal.com????
Maybe I overlook something, but I treid all solutions provided in these forums. Nothind seems to help.
btw. The amount of questions wonders me if there is a 'bug' in 4.1.1. and if so, please e-smith provide an solid solution.
Hope to hear a 'hint' from anybody soon.......
regards and thx,
H.F. Wang

Create a virtual Domain for "external.com"
this way fetchmail nows it is also responsible for "external.com" and will put
the mail in the matching mailboxes.

Thanks Jochen! I tried this:
internal.com = e-smith
external.com = ISPDomain
I created a "internal.com" and create a virtual domain called "ISPDomain". Now when I send mail from my ïnternal.com to the internet it says the mail is sent by "internal.com" but ofcource I want is to be sent by "external.com".
Any idea, can i modify a template (e.g. qmail??)
Thanks in advance.

Oh OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH,
Sorry Jochen,
RTFM is in place here. Your reply is fullu appicable. IT WORKS!!!
What did I not do?? (Shame, all red cheeks etc. etc....) I didn't fill in the blanks with IMP (webmail). Therefor IMP defaults to the given domain name. instead of using the parameters given within IMP (I used only IMP for testing, Outlook would have asked for it in advance..:-( ).
Sorry again.
ps. Shold this be covered by e-smith or MP???
