Title: Dial Attempts

Could some give me infomation on the dialing attemps of a esmith server with a standard modem, eg, how many attempts to connect before giving up? etc

Hi,

Look at the directory /etc/e-smith/templates/etc/diald.conf

there are some files with the wanted parameters (e.g. retry-count)

Don't edit it directly but follow instructions at:
http://www.e-smith.org/content/custom/
