Title: Jukebox Software.
Post by: Kenneth Lang on March 28, 2001, 03:00:03 AM
I just installed the Jukebox software on my test machine.  The install went fine based on all the instructions.  I even created directories for Scorpions and UFO and dragged MP3 files into them.

I created a list.m3u file with a coulpe of songs, it all displays perfect and is the direction I want.

However, (go figure) if I select a song with fetch, it plays just fine.  But, I want stream for continuous music, and it fails.  I tried it using Windows Media Player and Realplayer but it does not stream, it scans thru the list and fails, cannot find files.

Does anyone have a workaround for this.  I checked the forum, but all examples on the forum do not work for me.

similar problem has been noted

are you having this problem "inside" or through the internet?

if it is happening on you LAN, add the e-smith server to your hosts file, ie it is a DNS problem

in my case i had to add

192.168.0.11  www.primethepump.org
192.168.0.11  primethepump.org

to get it to work inside my LAN

somebody else can probably give a better technical explanation and it has either been posted here ealier or in the devinfo mailing list

good luck!  the jukebox rockZ!!

I just found this thread on the board today when trying to solve the same problem myself.

These helped me. Hope they do the same for you.
