Title: Initio 9100 and Exabyte 8505XL
Post by: Ari on March 28, 2001, 05:44:20 AM
Does anyone have any insight as to how to get these working with the backup-to-tape feature of e-smith server v4.11?

It keeps telling me there's no tape in the drive. There is, of course, a brand new tape in the drive.

If I go to the shell and look, it's not recognizing /dev/nst0 - i.e. non-existent.

Any help would be, as always, gratefully appreciated.

Thanks,
Ari

Are you using the Initio 9100 for your hard drives?  Basically you need to load the 'initio' (Initio 9100) and 'st' (scsi tape) modules.
