Title: email -> accept multiple domains
Post by: thorsten greiner on March 29, 2001, 04:56:25 PM
hi!

searched the forums but didn't quite find something that fits. well, i'm planning to install e-smith 4.1.1 as server/gateway. for sending mail we deliver mail via an external provider for mailscan services. that's to be setup via DELEGATE MAIL SERVER. but to retrieve mail i need the system to accept mail for ide-stampe.de, i.de-stampe.de and de-stampe.de. the systems name is mail.de-stampe.de but all outgoing mail should me masqueraded to ide-stampe.de. the providers MX records for ide-stampe.de and i.de-stampe.de point to mail.de-stampe.de.

i remember with sendmail mailhandling is done by the CW and masquerading by the CM directive.

maybe this is a typical uts-error (User Too Stupid) but i could not check out this issue with my test-installation...

can someone help?
thanx in advance

Try too take a look at the e-smith manager, you can set virtual domais so e-smith will accept mail for these virtual domains and distribute it to the known users in the 'real' domain.
