Title: Refuse to complete boot.. :-(

For some reason My previously happy e-smith server now refuses to boot properly.

It gets to
[hdparm]
and locks up, It licks the keyboard and everything.

Any ideas what It might be?

Did you enabled hdd optimization?

Yes. And changing this when I did a new install fixed the problem.
But what I don't understand is why the server ran happily for 2 months or so, then all of a sudden, no boot??

Very strange..
