Title: VPN and SMTP?

hi,
i just get my vpn connection (with WindowsME ... lol) working. so i tried to send emails over my e-smith servers smtp port - but it did not allow me because of relaying?! i thougt iam a vpn member of my lan and iam alowed to use the smtp server?
how to alow a vpn client to send emails over the server?

Engelmann. im trying vpn too
I dont know If you can control that, but pop and imap server have a pannel in "other email settings" of e-smith manager, and imp webmail can use the smtp server.... so I'm thinking we could check the number of pptp simultaneous connections. also in the manager (remote access)
If you are using a client e-mail software in your vpn client machine , maybe it needs an aditional connection.

i tried everything - i can't send email via vpn!?! (same relaying message like displayd without vpn!

sure tha Ipchains is blocking relay for security reasons?
maybe somebody in the forum can help us stop loosing time...{:-(
