Where is the mySQL directory in e-smith???

That depends what you are wanting to find.  The mysql binary which is used for most operations is located here:

"/usr/bin/"

and is called "mysql"

If that's not what you are after - then be more specific.

Actually I was looking for the location of the mysql data folder...

That's in /var/lib/mysql--what do you want to do with it?

moving a database from a worm attacked box.

found that you can just drop the data files into mysql on another box and they work.

I want to use eSmith cause it seems pretty friggin secure...
