Does anyone know if there is a way to limit the bandwith qmail can use for sending email ?
I'm having some problems with browsing and downloads when i send a large email to serveral (25) different users. qmail uses all the bandwith it can get (and i've got just a 16k upload), which i suspect to slow down traffic.
Thx

There's no easy solution to that problem. qmail does have a setting to control the number of concurrent outgoing messages, but a single upload may be able to saturate the link in any case.

The solution is to not send large emails to multiple people. Either use a different format (text instead of Microsoft Word), or use compression (e.g. Winzip) before sending, or put the file or files on your web or ftp server, then send a small email message with a pointer to your file on the web/ftp server.
