I have a stock 4.1.2 server/gateway. It has a website that gets about 150 hits a day and a few of users reading/writing files on a couple of i-bays. Currently, my e-smith has been up for 20 days or so.
I noticed that when I ran the "top" command at the server, it saild that 80 processes were running. On a closer look, I had 17 "mysqld" processes, 16 copies of "httpd" running, 3 copies of "httdp-admin", 2 "squid", 3 "nmbd" plus the other usual processes I'd expect to see.
So, my question - is this normal e-smith/redhat 7.0 behaviour???

pretty close, 60-75 processes seems normal.
