Title: which ports should i open and forward to server?

hello.
i'm going to use e-smith server behind my smoothwall firewall.  only reason being that i can get smoothwall to use isdn card and can't get e-smith to.
if i am going to run a website, webmail, need ftp, ssh  then which ports will i need to open in smoothwall and forward to the esmith machine?

if you do
/sbin/ipchains -n -L input
on your e-smith machine you will see a list of the tcp ports that are open and closed, which will give you a starting point to establishing which ports you need to forward on your firewall.

Have a read of the port forwarding howto - it will help you a lot I think
