Hi I have e-smith-4.1.1 installed and working fine (well almost). I can connect through network neighbourhood and map a drive to an ibay but when i try copy a file a get a copy error ( network device no longer available). When i use cuteftp to connect it runs so slowly and then simply disconnects. I have a 3com 10/100 hub and all my pcs run 10/100 nic's. Does anyone know why my connections would be so slow/unreliable on my local network. This is a great product but it is driving me mad. I am using the dhcp server to establish ip addresses etc.

I have exactly the same problem. 10 MBit Hub (3com), brand new 10/100 MBits PCI NICs (D-Link), fast enough PCs.... I get throughputs of about 50kb/s and response times (e.g. refresh network drives in explorer) is very slow....
Anyone with solutions? I appled all the latest patches (4.1.1).
Thanks

Did you check the cables/adapters? If you can switch cables, try setting up a direct link with the server with a known good cable and see if the problem persists. If it does, try changing the NICs (always with ones you know to be working).

Hmm, I already tried the trick with cable switching. No luck.
Then I'm gonna change this NIC with another model and see what happens.
Thanks for answering!

Just FYI, the current version is in fact 4.1.2, not 4.1.1.
