I have currently been using e-smith for several months and I have decided it is time to make it operate elegantly.
Here is our network topology:
Our main location uses our domain name for emails in the following manner - user@domain.com. This has worked great for the past 8 years. Recently we added a new location 50 miles away. Its naming convention is - user@abc.domain.com.
Here is the problem.
A user sending mail from domain.com can send mail anywhere without problems. However, a user at abc.domain.com can only send mail to those locally without problems. If user@abc.domain.com attempts to send a message to user@domain.com - it ends up being delievered to root@abc.domain.com since it feels like the user does not exist.
Question
Is there anyway to edit the record? I have tried to no avale. If anyone has any thoughts or is tired of this rambling message, please let me know.
Thanks

I have tried various different MX records in both my local.named and db.domain.xxx files. This yielded nothing. Any ideas out there? I am willing to try anything
