Hi there,
Currently I have the mp3 module working for lan connections.
As soon as I try to stream throughth NET I get an error message back from Winamp telling me that "www.hostname.ISP.nl is unknown.
I know that my website is reachable through hostname.isp.nl
So winamp is looking for www.hostname.isp.nl but this is offcourse a none existing site.
Now tried to modify the httpd.conf file and the 45ServerName file in the /etc/esmith/action directory but it doesn't make any difference.
I probably have to restart apache completly but how.
I did a httpd gracefull restart and a full restart but winamp keeps complaining.
Please advise
Emiel

This issue has been covered before in this forum ... don't know if a search would turn it up or not, did you try?
What you need to do is add the e-smith server to the HOSTS file.
I added mine both with and without "www." just to be on the safe side, and went streaming merrily along.

Hi Mister smith,
I searched the forum but probably didn't enter the right search term.
I'll try your tips and see what comes up.
Thanks

A quick search on keywords hosts and mp3 turned up the following quite useful thread:
http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=10538.msg39785#msg39785
I think people often forget to reset the date range to search back more than 30 days.
Hope this helps,
Ross
