Title: pop3 outside email
Post by: jason on December 01, 2000, 02:18:21 AM
I have looked in all of these forums and I cannot find one doc on how to setup e-smith to allow users to access pop3 email from the internet. I see the doc on setting up web mail but I do not need that much overhead on my server. All I need is to simply allow users to access their mail from the internet, I dont need web based email. is there a simple config for this, or can someone point me in the right direction..

thanks much..

Did you try looking in the e-smith-manager?  It's under "other e-mail settings."

You will be able to receive mail + send mail to the 'internal' accounts but you will not be able to send mail to an external source without setting up RELAY.
