Hi,
I've installed squiguard (Thanks to netsourced.com) and before I attempt to automatically update the databases I'd like to modify the access rules. I'd like to define a set of rules that allow adults (me) unrestricted access while fully restricting my kids' access include time of day.
There's a config file in the Squidguard configuration guide (example 7) which looks like it would do the job but I'm not sure how to go about this in e-smith.
Can anyone please help?
Many thanks in advance.
Norrie.
PS. Next is updating the databases them email virus scanning! 8o)

I've managed to do most of this. If anyone wants to know how I did it I'll explain.

Oops,
Sorry folks but I completely forgot about following this up. I'll try to find some time over the weekend to write something up.

Hi,
I had a power failure at home recently and my e-smith box didn't boot. I'm going to completely reconfigure everything anyway so, no I've not been able to do a howto.
However, check out the devinfo archives at:
http://www.mail-archive.com/devinfo@lists.e-smith.org/index.html
In particular:
http://www.mail-archive.com/devinfo@lists.e-smith.org/msg04296.html
Where some much more capable and experienced guys seem to have the whole thing sorted.
As far as I can see there's already an install script and web interface working. Much more than I could have ever done.
Once again I'm sorry not to have done anything about this.
Hope this helps
Norrie
