Title: Upgrading to dual hardrives (mirroring)
Post by: Lloyd Keen on June 19, 2001, 12:01:43 PM
I'd like to slam another identical harddrive in my e-smith box and setup mirroring. What is the best way to do this bearing in mind that I have some non-standard stuff installed (ie Hylafax, Postgres, Image magic)? Should I shutdown then install the drive and do an upgrade selecting mirroring from the start? Or would it be best to backup, do a brand new install, then e-smith restore and finally a selective restore using taper. Just trying to pick the least painful path.

I think you only have one option, Correct me if I am wrong,
make a backup and then do a clean install.

I think the only way to install raid is a clean install.
