Hi all,
I got a cable connection here, but when few website visitors download some stuff from my site my internet connection is very slow. I only got an upload bandwith of 16kb/s.
I know an option in win2k that solves this sort of problems, it is called bandwith throttling. Is there someone who has implemented such a tool in e-smith already or has some experience with this?
I found this link with some interesting info for apache and bandwith throttling:
http://www.snert.com/Software/mod_throttle/index.shtml
So...anyone who has experience with this or can help me with finding a more easy way of managing my upload capacity to visitors?
TIA,
Timothée
P.S. I think I'm not the only one with this sort of problem and I think it would be a very nice feature to implement in the next release of e-smith :) Well, if there is some linux/e-smith guru who is able to write a howto for this, it would be very appreciated!

Is there really no one who has this working on his/her e-smith server?
