Title: elsa airlancer L-11
Post by: kwm on July 02, 2001, 11:43:14 PM
I want to connect two of our local subnets (in separated buildings) over the above mentioned system. Due to the discussion here, we didn´t buy just the pcmcia-cards with the pci-adaptors but the access-points. The actuall firmware of elsa is not able to route tcp/ip-packages (that might come soon in the V 2.3) between two subnets.
The two access-points are working as a bridge. We gave the 192.xxx.165.1 to one and the 192.xxx.165.2 to the other access-point.

Now I want to configure the second NIC of the first e-smith box (192.xxx.180.1) to route tcp/ip-packages over this bridge to the second NIC of the other e-smith-box (192.xxx.190.1)et vice versa.

Both e-smith-boxes have also internet-access over isdn-routers wich work as gateways. Each e-smith box schould route their internet-packages to the isdn-router and packages for the other subnet over the elsa access-point mentioned above. Is this possible or do I need a router like freesco.  Any solution ?

maybe it is an idea that you can set up an second ip-adres on the e-smith boxes, so that they can listen on several ip adresses

With regards
