Title: Site Building tools

Greetings,
 
  Anyone know of a sitebuilding tool to work with e-smith?
Easy to setup, templates, works with virtual domains..ect


Second question. does e-smith 4.1.2 support frontpage ?

Hi,

As E-smith is using Apache with Perl, Python & PHP support, you can use whatever site building tools you like. As far as I know of, they're are no ones built specifically for E-Smith. I tend to develop my pages on a Windows machine and then upload to the server as required.

E-smith, as with most *nix based Web servers, does not come with support for Frontpage extensions. There is a utility that does mimic a lot of the functionality of the Frontpage extensions... including the really bad security.
I suggest staying well clear of both and start playing with the Perl, Python or PHP alternatives for those bits of web functionality.
