Title: dyndns.org problem

hi!

when i try to update the IP on dyndns.org i get a "server dyndns.org: sid-dd is not a Fully-Qualified Domain Name." message in the syslog.. what does that mean. my e-smith domainname is sid-dd...

babbling to myself...

all you need to do is to change in /sbin/e-smith/dynamic-dns/dyndns.org the line 20 to:

system=dyndns\&hostname="$DOMAIN.dyndns.org"\&myip="$IPADDR"\&wildcard=ON

(all in one line)

It means exactly what it says--sid-dd is not a real domain name.  You need to configure it with your real domain (mydomain.com or whatever).

you might try using the domain that you registered with dyndns.org

It sounds like your domain entered in setup is incomplete. Maybe you entered dyndns.org instead of "actualdomain".dyndns.org
