Hi Peter,

Release 02 solves just that. We have already sent it to e-smit and hope it will be in their ftp contrib area soon :)

Dont be hard. I believe in Canada only have 24 hours a day :))) They are kind to let us use their ftp server, so just be patient :)

Hi Peter,

You are our first beta tester. Please, tell me what you think, if you find any problems, if the graphs appear with all the interfaces, etc.

Regards

Jamie,

Yes it does work now..all interfaces etho and eth1 works nice now.

One strange thing though is the un-install thing mentioned (this will give a few guys gray hair :p). I'm not sure but i think its the same for everyone else, you cant seeme to un-install the old pack, couse on a rpm --query it says its not installed at all.

So i made a brutal install :), with rpm -i --force and that copied all the *.rrd files from  backup back into /var/lib/rrd/

And yeah, the msgs is still coming (ERROR: could not lock RRD)
, but i think they go away if i chmod the rrd files to 777?

Hey..

I'^m currently testing it.. I must say the screenshots seems very interesting !!!

I installed rrdtool 1.0.33-1 and sysstat 4.0.1-1.
When I installed the monitor i told me I have to install sysstat.. since I juste installed it I did : rpm -ivh --nodeps e-smithblabla.rpm

but it's to not to work now .... I always receive root mail :
sh: sar: command not found

What should I do ?

Thanx

Hi,

I beleive you are using release 01 because I'm told that release 02 is not yet in the ftp directory.

You might get in trouble :)) Release 01 has some known bugs.
