Title: RPM Installation wrecked e-smith-manager
Post by: Derek on August 13, 2001, 02:55:10 AM
I installed the trust accounts contributed rpm (rpm -Uhv e-smith-trustaccounts...etc) and now I cannot access the e-smith manager. Also, I cannot uninstall the rpm using rpm -e.

Anybody experience this before? Did I do something wrong?

TIA

Don't worry!!

Do the following to get your manager back;

Login as root (Ctrl+ALT+F2)
type in the following;

cd /sbin/e-smith
./signal-event post-upgrade
./signal-event reboot

You server will reboot, and your manager will have returned!

Kind Regards,
Rob.

Hi Robert,

My e-smith-manager panel got the following errors for all functions suddenly. It cannot be recovered even using your ./signal-event instructions. Any comments. Thanks in advance.
