Title: How do I get access?
Post by: Eric on August 21, 2001, 08:19:36 AM
How do I set up my e-smith server to I can store files on it from a windows machine?  I'm able to browse my e-smith server from windows, but I don't have access to add a new folder on the server from windows.

Does anybody know how I can give myself access????

Thanks a lot

Eric

You will have to add the corresponding user from the web console, and this will make the required folders on a user basis. Make sure your windows username/password match your e-smith. Adding appropriate I-bays as well is good for "common" folders that can be used by groups of users

A folder Is an I-bay to add an Information bay go to E-smith Manager.  you can do this on the actual server using the e-smith console, or access console remotely by using your web browser and typing in http://***.***.***.***/e-smithmanager

***.***.***.*** represents the servers IP adress

This is mentions in the user guide, I recomend you read it
