Need some advice for the 2nd DNS-server
The local e-smith server worked as internet-server with an elsa-lan-router quite perfect. The e-smith-box itself was the DNS-server and resolved the adresses correctly.
After a few weeks of expierience with the elsa wireless accesspoints we decided to install a connection to another location. therefore we need do tell our e-smith, that there is a second DNS-server. Due to the perl-based configuration I have no idea, how to make my e-smith box understand, that there is a 2nd dns wich schould be asked (and only in this case) when the local dns cannot resolve the requested adress.
On a SuSE server its quite easy to write the forwarder in the named.conf, here in the etc/e-smith/templates/etc/named.conf there is a file caled "15forwarders" there is a string "DNSPrimaryIP" and another one "DNSecondaryIP" wich should tell the system where the dns-servers could be found.
Thanx in advance

Are you using your e-smith server with a wireless accesss point. How do you connect it to the e-smith? USB, PCMCIA, NIC? I am attempting to put together a proposal for a small condo complex using a wireless e-smith server for internet access for condo owners. The e-smith would be connect to the internet using DSL with a static IP. TIA
