Title: Highpoint HPT370 raidcontroller
Post by: Paul van Dun on September 05, 2001, 01:38:19 AM
Does anyone have experience with a Highpoint HPT370 UDMA/ATA100 Raidcotroller and if so, can it be used as a hardware raid controller with E-Smith

best regards,

Hi

I have used the HPT370 in Red Hat, although there is no raid driver, for the chip, (That I know of anyway) although the the HPT370 is only gloryfied software raid anyway, so you only gain VERY minimal performance increase over software raid.

So you might aswell just use the software raid within e-smith.
