Title: Cable Internet dropouts
Post by: Stuart on September 14, 2001, 12:49:18 PM
Big probles and I'm sure a small fix:
Thanks to http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=10572.msg39911#msg39911
and a big of patience I finally got my Bigpond Cable internet connection working. But every minute or so the connection will close and I will have to run "/etc/rc.d/init.d/bpalogin restart" which is really a bummer.

My research tells me some Cable Heartbeat is being blocked, and I need to open access for dce-server .  But HOW?

Any help will be great.

Stuart

Get Optus it hasn't dropped out once and I've been using it since July
