Hello together,
can someone help me? The following problem has!
How can I change the rights of access from a script in the cgi-bin folder from an ibay? This
naturally without that I am administrator e.g. with a FTP program such as CuteFTP or
something similar.
Thank you for any suggestions
Best greetings

The only way that I know is to log onto the server cammand prompt as admin and change that way. It is not possible to do so via ftp

Hello Benny,
thanks for your assistance
Is it however really not possible to solve this problem on another way? Otherwise does someone have an idea like this would be solvable?
Thank you already in advance for further possibilities

e-smith (and presumably SME v5), by default, does not allow FTP clients to change permissions. There's been some discussion here of how to modify that behavior, but I haven't followed it, as it's not something I've needed to do. Searching for "ftp chmod" (without the quotes) should find it.
