Title: Problems with permissions in cgi-bin folder

Hello together,

can someone help me? The following problem has!

How can I change the rights of access from a script in the cgi-bin folder from an ibay? This

naturally without that I am administrator e.g. with a FTP program such as CuteFTP or

something similar.

The only way that I know is to log onto the server cammand prompt as admin and change that way. It is not possible to do so via ftp

Is it however really not possible to solve this problem on another way? Otherwise does someone have an idea like this would be solvable?

e-smith (and presumably SME v5), by default, does not allow FTP clients to change permissions.  There's been some discussion here of how to modify that behavior, but I haven't followed it, as it's not something I've needed to do.  Searching for "ftp chmod" (without the quotes) should find it.
