Title: Incorrect Parameter message when login on to domain controll

Hi,

I'm busy trying out e-smith 4.1.2 as a domain controller, but I keep getting an incorrect parameter message.

So far, I have added the ip of the machine I'm testing with to /etc/hosts and /etc/samba/lmhosts, and added the plaintext password registry entry as well.

Anything else I can try?

Alex,

What error message are you getting?  When do you get this error message?  Is this error message on your e-smith box or on the Windows client PC which you are trying to join to the e-smith "domain"?

I am rather new to Linux/e-smith, but over the past few months HAVE managed to setup several e-smith 4.1.2 servers as PDC's for NT4/Win2K client machines - so I may be able to help.

I've found my problem, thanks. I was putting in the wrong name for domain name.

I'm having the problem to setup the SME V5 as a PDC!!

Can someone help me?
