Title: Installing Goldmine 4.0 on E-Smith.
Post by: Stone Linton on September 27, 2001, 08:43:35 AM
Anyone have any luck?  How did you go about it.  My install was a partial sucess.  Except when I try the intial login/config it fails to write the license.dbf file info.  Coming back with what looks like some permission error.

Hmmmm.....Goldmine....ick...

If I recall correctly, Goldmine has the capability to use a SQL backend too --- that might be worth looking into.  I just remember sooooo many nightmares with that whole shared flat-file db system -- the whole thing seems to blow up about every 6 months, with only 14 users...
